Budvar is the special name of the world famous beer produced by the renowned brewery in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic. Benefitting from over 700 years of brewing experience of the South Bohemian region, Czech is the golden original, acknowledged by many connoisseurs as one of the best lagers in the world.

The beer has an aroma of gently toasted malt, a dash of vanilla and aromatic hops. It is rich and rounded in the mouth with a superb attack of juicy, biscuity malt. The finish has a near perfect balance of malt and hops with a delicate note of apple fruit.

Independent review...

Pours golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma is skunky at first owing to the green bottle, but that quickly fades, leaving a honey sweetness. Flavour has sweet pale malts with some spicy and earthy hop notes, a little honey. Nice balance of honey and hops. Drier finish. I think this is a great pilsner.
